Communications Solutions Provider Partners With Local K-8 Independent School

RALEIGH, N.C. – David Finch, president and CEO of ATCOM Business Telecom Solutions (www.atcombts.com), a communications solutions provider, has announced that the company has installed a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications system for Union Independent School in Durham, N.C.   The VoIP platform was installed at the school, Union Baptist Church and several other campus buildings in downtown Durham.  ATCOM provided Union Independent School with the latest VoIP platform, IP telephones and data network, which allows for a seamless voice and data network.  The school’s buildings are connected via an external high speed wireless network rather than traditional copper/fiber cabling which reduced the cost and increased their efficiency. Additionally, Union Independent School is using a Unified Messaging application, provided by ATCOM, and will now be able to integrate their cellular devices to the campus telephone system.

“We are pleased to be working with Union Independent School,” said Finch.  “With our Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system, the school will be on the cutting edge of technology, helping them to communicate more efficiently and grow their school.”

“ATCOM’s VoIP system has helped us set the foundation for our school’s communication structure,” said Charles Stanback of Union Independent School.  “Thanks to ATCOM, we will be able to stay connected as a faculty and community.”
