ATCOM Gives Back
ATCOM is proud to Give Back to a community that has given so much to us.
Here are a few things we have been up to recently.
David Finch and the Dune Dogs participated in the 12th annual Ocracoke Firemen’s Ball. The all-volunteer, all-donations event typically raises about $65,000 in just one day for Ocracoke’s volunteer fire department. David participates through a variety of methods outside of just contributions including putting on a concert featuring the Dune Dogs, helping with the auction and cooking BBQ. They cooked over 750 lbs of pulled pork BBQ and 200 Racks of Ribs.
Glenn Hays sponsored The Rotary Club of Cabarrus County’s 3rd Annual Disc Golf Tournament. The Rotary Club raised over $15,000 that was given back to community projects. Glenn’s service and ATCOM’s support helped make that possible.
BLOC, Tommy Haugton and ATCOM sponsored the 13th annual BLOC golf tournament. They will be raising close to $20k for the Turning Point. Turning Point serves survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse and helps address the need for education and advocacy to the community at large on what these families face and how to support them.
Mike King, Amber McFetters and other members of the Greensboro office sponsored and participated in the Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk to end Prostate Cancer. One in eight American men will get prostate cancer during his lifetime. It is the third cancer cause of death in men
