Due to a recent hiring program, the Greer & Walker phone system was quickly reaching its capacity. Greer & Walker had been an ATCOM customer for many years, and their system now simply needed to be replaced. When decisions are made at Greer & Walker, the driving force is ultimately to choose the best tools, resources, and technology available to empower accounting professionals to deliver excellent service to clients.
As options were considered for new equipment, document management became a central part of the discussion. Leaders at Greer & Walker have a strong desire to become as paperless and green as is practical—a somewhat difficult task in the accounting arena.
With the installation of a new, highly expandable ATCOM phone system, unified messaging system, and fax server, the daily tasks of the accounting professionals at Greer & Walker are much simpler.
At any given time, Greer & Walker may have up to 30 auditors at client sites across the state of North Carolina. Now, even though these auditors are out of the office, they remain closely connected to all clients. Auditors simply log-in to the server connect remotely via VPN. From any remote location, auditors have an immediate visual of incoming fax transmission, emails and voice mail messages.
The deployment of unified messaging along with a fax server has given Greer & Walker associates the technology necessary to become more responsive to clients, more timely in their communication, and more proficient in their daily tasks.
