About David
Proud local Raleigh native born and bred, David returned to the Triangle area after earning a degree in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. And indeed, Raleigh and the North Carolina Coast are the “Finchman’s” two favorite places on Earth; if he’s not hard at work in ATCOM, you can bet he’s “headed down South Point Road” on Ocracoke Island. As a young teenager, David began his first straight-commission selling job — a booth at the local flea market. After joining ATCOM in ‘84, David used his sales finesse to climb the ATCOM ranks, from sales rep to President and CEO. Front man of Metro Magazine’s 2009 “Best Local Band of the Triangle,” David sings and plays harmonica for a crazy group of canines known as “The Dune Dogs.” A North Carolina favorite, The Dune Dogs, can be found in clubs, dance halls, and performing benefits across the state, from Boone to Ocracoke.
